Mystic Kiteboarding design wetsuits specifically for kitesurfers. Compromise and multi-use constraints are not an issue, their wetsuits are designed for kitesurfers by kitesurfers that incorporate features other wetsuit designers wouldn't think of.
What we're looking for is a wetsuit that is designed to withstand the toughest of conditions that our sport can throw at us, yet have that in-built flexibility which allows us as a rider to perform the way we want to play! They even look good too!
Mystic Voltage Wetsuit Features:
Isoprene Mesh Neoprene:
A 3 layer foam construction. The mid-layer is perforated to keep your body temperature locked inside. This construction is warmer than standard neoprene.
M-Flex Neoprene:
M-FLEX (TRI SPAN) 100% Stretch
The most flexible neoprene in our
range. M-flex gives maximum flex and
durability.
Teddy-Prene Plush:
A soft feel interior lining that reflects
body heat. Measurably lighter, warmer and more flexible lightweight thermal internal jersey that wicks away moisture and increases warmth.
Fully Glued and Blind-Stitched Water Sealing:
The edges of the neoprene panels are covered with a highly adhesive, UV resistant contact glue which needs to dry for a few minutes. Then the glue is applied a second time to make it more sticky. Once the corresponding parts of the neoprene edges are put together by hand and then firmly squeezed with an electric pressing tool cm by cm to achieve the high tearing strength, the seams are stitched on the inside with a special blind-stitch sewing machine. A curved needle pokes through the neoprene layer and applies an elastic seam on the outside. By using this technique, the seam is highly tear proof, elastic and completely watertight and provides insulation and comfort.
Liquid S-Seams:
A rubber coating applied over the GBS seam. The Liquid S-seam gives the suit a high-end finish that is both durable and waterproof keeping even more water out.
Diamond Knee Pad:
Kneepads made using highly
durable materials, which have tightly
woven fibres for better scratch
prevention. Complete with ergonomic shaping designed to extend the life of the wetsuit and protect the knees while punching through the waves.
Velcro Leg Loops:
For an even tighter seal. If needed the velcro loop avoids any intrusion of water by perfect adjustment. In the unlikely case that the loop releases on the water it can not get lost due to its unique construction. Of course the Velcro Loop can be removed easily if not needed.
Critical Taping:
A neoprene taping positioned
on the critical seams of the suit.
Back-Zip Entry: - Positioned on the back of the wetsuit, this construction provides an easy entry.
Asymmetrical Back-Up - An extra neoprene layer behind the zipper with collar. If water penetrates the suit the back up will guide it out through the water
relieve hole.
Sandwich neck closure - The construction of this collar covers all velcro completely with neoprene. However you twist or bend over your head it will always feel soft and comfortable. This neck closure will always feel soft and comfortable, preventing water coming through the neck opening and secures the back-zip.
Non-Slip Cuffs:
A silicon print located inside the cuff, to keep your cuffs in position and prevent water from coming in.
PK Zip:
Our entire wetsuit range features strong waterproof zippers.
Aqua Flush Water Drain:
Water which enters through the back zipper can leak out easily and keep the back area dry.
Mystic have also added a water permeable Airprene legpanel on the inside of the lower leg to prevent any water from getting stuck in the legs like a bubble.

Isoprene Mesh Neoprene:
A 3 layer foam construction. The mid-layer is perforated to keep your body temperature locked inside. This construction is warmer than standard neoprene.
M-Flex Neoprene:
M-FLEX (TRI SPAN) provides 100% Stretch. The most flexible neoprene in our range. M-flex gives maximum flex and durability. This lining has multiple advantages. Most noticeable is the stretch capability. For example a 3mm TRI Span arm panel can easily stretch up to twice its original length. Furthermore the lining is made more durable by cross weaving, is therefore able to stretch evenly in all directions and feels soft on the skin.
Teddy-Prene Plush:
A soft feel interior lining that reflects body heat. Measurably lighter, warmer and more flexible lightweight thermal internal jersey that wicks away moisture and increases warmth.
Liquid S-Seams:
A rubber coating applied over the GBS seam. The Liquid S-seam gives the suit a high-end finish that is both durable and waterproof keeping even more water out.
Durable water repellent finish

By using this technique, the seam is highly tear proof, elastic and completely watertight and provides insulation and comfort.
New panel layout
Reduced panel construction
Kinetic seam positioning:
Essential seams are positioned sideways of joints such as the knees and elbows. Therefore there is less tension on the seams when flexing or extending the extremities. Positioned seams make the suit more flexible and adds comfort and durability.
Less seam connections
Taped seam connections:
An extra neoprene patch on top of inside seam connections. It reinforces the connection, improves durability and makes the suit more waterproof. All inside seam connections we put a piece of tape in order to reinforce the strength of the seams.
Critical Taping:
A neoprene taping positioned on the critical seams of the suit.
Non-Slip Cuffs:
A silicon print located inside the cuff, to keep your cuffs in position and prevent water from coming in.
Curved seam ends
Glued stitching ends

Water Outlet - If water penetrates the zipper - the backup system guides it straight out of the suit through the water relieve hole keeping the back area dry.

Diamond Knee Pad:
Kneepads made using highly durable materials, which have tightly woven fibres for better scratch prevention. Complete with ergonomic shaping designed to extend the life of the wetsuit and protect the knees while punching through the waves.
Aquaflush Leg Panel: To let out water, Mystic have added a water permeable Airprene legpanel on the inside of the lower leg to prevent any water from getting stuck in the legs like a bubble.
Separate Velcro Leg Straps: For an even tighter seal. If needed the velcro loop avoids any intrusion of water by perfect adjustment. In the unlikely case that the loop releases on the water it can not get lost due to its unique construction. Of course the Velcro Loop can be removed easily if not needed.

How does a wetsuit work?
A wetsuit creates a barrier against the elements utilizing the insulating properties of closed cell neoprene.
Neoprene is a closed cell foam made up of thousands of tiny air bubbles known as cells.
The air within the cells creates an insulating barrier which slows down the conduction of heat and cold and allows body heat to be retained.
Neoprene:
The thickness of the neoprene utilized in a wetsuit will determine its warmth and flexibility.
A thick wetsuit provides a lot of insulation but can inhibit flexibility.
A thin wetsuit will be very flexible but can inhibit insulation.
The key is to get the right combination of warmth and flexibility so the wetsuit will not only keep you warm, but provide maximum flexibility as well.
What is a steamer wetsuit ?
A 'Steamer' is a wetsuit with sealed seams, usually achieved by blind stitching.
This stops the majority of cold water from re-entering the suit once your body has initially heated it up.
Winter wetsuits are steamers typically with a 5mm body and legs for warmth and 3mm arms for manoeuvrability.
